We were given a small fruit from that plant (left) months ago. The one on the right is the one that’s ours.
It took a while to grow, but now it’s getting bigger… 1/3 the size
of the mother-plant. I’m hoping by December, it’ll start bearing fruit.

Tomato Seedlings: This is my 2nd round of cherry tomato plants. The 1st round died immediately. Now, they’ve got more leaves, thanks to commercial fertilzer. I guess coffee beans are not good enough to make these grow.
Today, i made scrambled eggs with a strip of garlic leaf. :) it turned out well. the leaf added a bit of garlicky taste to the scrambled eggs, though the leaves themselves lost the garlic taste.
I think i like the leaves fresh rather than cooked. it would make a great addition to salads because of the garlic taste.
I was initially tempted to add basil and spring onions, but maybe next time. just garlic leaves for now. :)
Colin Jong shows an excellent example of growing a mung bean (or monggo) all the way to the point where it produces its own beans!
I hope mine survives even though i dont have a big place for it.
If you can spot 3 tiny green specs there, I think those are my chilli seedlings. But let’s see in a week if they’re really the chillis or just some random weed. It’s been raining hard here and the seedlings might not have survived. I’m transferring them to a new pot when they grow a bit bigger.
I potted a small onion last week. It grew leaves which are now roughly over an inch tall. Separately, I potted 4 garlic cloves. Let’s see how it goes for them.
